Moses at Horeb, commissioned for the baptistry of the church of St Augustine, Tonge Moor, Bolton.
In November 2011 I was one of a small number of artists chosen to submit a design for a tapestry for the High Altar of Winchester Cathedral. Though the design was not in the end chosen it was much appreciated by the panel, and the pdf shows the thinking which went into creating the resulting painting. Download pdf

The client asked for a depiction of Sisyphus and specified that this should be a pencil drawing, and that it should reflect the sense of grim triumph that Albert Camus says the anti-hero attains in his The Myth of Sisyphus.

Every DreamEvery Dream I Dream is You Somehow
This piece was commissioned by Johan Hearn in memory of her late husband David, and is the result of several months of conversations, sketches and exchanges of ideas between us. The setting is a stylized version of their garden, with objects that reflect the things Dave loved.
